With the new multimedia audio-guided tour, discover the fabulous history of the legendary Pont d'Avignon, which connected Avignon to Villeneuve.
Visual and sound animations have been integrated into the new audio-guide available in 11 languages - they enhance the commentary on the history of the bridge and the story of Saint Bénezet.
A film, synchronized with the new audio-guide, and museum space with videos, shows the human and technological adventure undertaken by 4 CNRS laboratories which have created a 3-D reconstitution of the bridge and the surrounding landscape as it was in the 14th century.
Exhibit: "Histoires de ponts" - "Stories of Bridges", stunning photographs of bridges, from early bridges made of vines to the latest high-tech bridges. See UNESCO World Heritage bridges and gain insight into theconnection between mankind and bridges.
